Delete your Oiko account

You can delete your Oiko account whenever you want, from inside the app or from this page. Deleting is permanent. There is no undo, and we cannot bring an account back.

Before you delete, if you pay for Oiko Pro

Deleting your account does not cancel a Google Play subscription, and it does not refund one. Google holds the subscription, not us.

Cancel it first, in the Play Store app under Payments and subscriptions, or at play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions. Do it before you delete, because once your account is gone we can no longer see your plan or help you find it.

From inside the app

Open Settings, then Account, then Delete my account. You will be asked to type your email address, so it cannot happen by accident. Nothing is deleted until you do.

From this page

You are signed out. Ask for a sign-in link, open it, and come back to this page. There is no password to remember.

If you cannot sign in at all, email support@oiko.space from the address on the account and ask us to delete it. We will do it within 30 days, and usually the same week.

What gets deleted

  • Your account: your email address and your first name, if you gave one.
  • Every task that synced to us: what you wrote, what Oiko made of it, the dates, and any place you picked, with its phone number and address.
  • Every sign-in session, on every device, so you are signed out everywhere.
  • Any sign-in links that have not been used yet.
  • The counters that track how much of your monthly amount you have used.
  • Your subscription record with us, and the history of plan changes behind it.

All of it goes at once, when you confirm.

What deleting does not do

  • It does not cancel or refund a Google Play subscription. See above.
  • It does not remove Google’s own record of your purchase. That belongs to Google Play, and their help pages explain what they keep.
  • It does not touch tasks that only ever lived on your phone or in your browser. If you used Oiko signed out, those never reached us. Delete the app, or clear the site’s data in your browser, to remove them.
  • It does not empty our support mailbox. If you have emailed support@oiko.space, that thread stays there unless you ask us to delete it too.
  • It does not remove your address from the early waitlist, if you joined that before the app existed. Ask us at support@oiko.space and we will take it off.

Oiko is not a medical service, and deleting your account is not a medical record request. Nothing you wrote here was ever treated as one.

Your rows are removed from our database immediately. Our database provider keeps short-term backups of the whole database so it can be recovered after a failure, and your rows fall out of those as they age out. We never restore a backup to bring a deleted account back.
